Toolkit for State Educational Agencies to Improve Outcomes for Youth With Disabilities in Juvenile Corrections
This website provides materials to help state educational agencies (SEAs) and correctional facilities ensure justice-involved youth access to a free appropriate public education (FAPE). A comprehensive toolkit is available and “includes evidence- and research-based practices, tools, and resources that educators, families, facilities, and community agencies can use to better support and improve the long-term outcomes for youth with disabilities in juvenile correctional facilities.” Information about various facility-wide practices, educational practices, transition and re-entry practices, and community and interagency practices are also available.
